BIO

For 14 years, as guitarist, programmer, and songwriter, Cimino was a member of Foster the People, the Grammy-nominated band that emerged in the 2010s with shimmering, off-kilter pop. His work with the band took him across the globe—from Coachella and Glastonbury to Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show—culminating in a Grammy tribute to the Beach Boys. His writing extended beyond the band’s albums, with the track “Style” appearing in the film Countdown.

Cimino has also collaborated with Grammy-winning producers including Paul Epworth (Coldplay, U2), Greg Kurstin (Beck, Kendrick Lamar), and Rich Costey (Interpol, Muse). That sense of depth and detail fuels Peel, his post-punk project, praised by Paste, Clash, and Flood Magazine, with “Citizen X” featured on the FIFA 21 soundtrack. Peel’s songs have also appeared in Aidy Bryant’s Shrill and Carlson Young’s The Blazing World.

Now expanding into film and television scoring, Cimino is collaborating with Emmy-nominated composer Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale) on an upcoming album, alongside the launch of his solo ambient project, Aur, debuting in September.

Whether crafting post-punk landscapes or cinematic compositions, Cimino’s work lingers—defined by space, tension, and what lies beneath.
